Thank you very much for this! I’ve been trying to customize the gallery3 themes the whole day, the documentation they provide is seriously lacking and your post clarified things a lot. I still don’t understand what all those php methods do (like page_top(), site_status() etc; they obviously generate some html, but where is it defined what?), but the YUI cheat sheet was a big help with fixing sizes wrt. rest of my website. Looking forward to know how you’ve customized the header and the footer, so far I had to do that in a very brute force method and I’m sure there is a more elegant way to make things look right.

I looked at my posts and they do seem to be in reverse chronological order – but I don’t have comments from other people. I looked on a page I administer and I see what you mean. I can’t think of how to control that – as there really aren’t many settings…
